Jay Mossman is the founder and current CEO of Akcelerant. Jay held senior executive positions in technology and lines of business with Mellon Bank, RepublicBank and Bank One during his 15 year tenure with these institutions. He spent 7 years as President of a financial services software company for which he was brought in by a venture capital firm to turn around its investment. He received numerous awards such as Inc. Magazine Turnaround Person of the Year Runner-up 1995 and 1995 Turnaround CEO of the Year for the Eastern Technology Council. He was honored in 2001 by the State of Pennsylvania, receiving citations from the House and Senate for his technology contributions to the state. Also in 2001 he was named Technology Person of the Year for Chester County, the fastest growing county in Pennsylvania.  
 
Mark Price

Mark Price is the Chief Technology Officer and manages the Research and Development Group at Akcelerant. Mark has been with the company since 1998 where he started as a software developer. He focuses his efforts on examining how new technologies can play a role in the financial services market, as well as assuming responsibility for the architecture and design of Akcelerant's products and managing internal information technology.

Mark came to Akcelerant from Shared Medical Systems, Inc where he was employed as a computer programmer. At this position he focused on PeopleSoft PeopleTools 7.0 and SQL in downloading updates and fixes to PeopleTools software, applied fixes to SMS products and software, and posted revisions on the web page. Mark also utilized Microsoft Access 97 and Visual Basic 5.0 in developing a software tracking system to monitor outgoing products, customers in need of products and software upgrades.

Mark also gained experience as a programmer at Signature Solutions, Inc. Through the use of Visual C++ 5.0, Visual Basic 5.0, SQL and COM he developed extremely detailed and creative prototype GUIs for various meetings and presentations. Mark also helped to maintain the Windows NT network, managed SQL Server databases and installed and supported the company router and firewall.

 
Eric Snyder

Eric Snyder is Executive Vice President of the Business Development Group, which includes sales, marketing and partner relationship management at Akcelerant. Eric has a proven track record of assisting young companies in establishing a sales culture and executing strategies to deliver consistent, predictable revenue. Eric started at Akcelerant as Director of Strategic Relationships in 2003 and was quickly promoted to SVP of Sales & Marketing in 2005. Since Eric arrived at Akcelerant, he has driven the company’s continual revenue growth and has been an asset to the Akcelerant management team.

Before joining Akcelerant, Eric worked in the local Philadelphia technology community. Most notably, he served as part of the management team at Refinery, one of the top 100 interactive agencies in the United States. As Director of Business Development and one of the company’s first employees, Eric established a sales culture that was able to fuel the company’s growth and propel Refinery into one of the largest and most respected companies of its type, prior to being sold in 2007.
 
Emily Steele

Emily Steele is the Chief Operating Officer at Akcelerant and manages the Operations Group. Emily is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day business operations of several divisions including Customer Care, Product Management, Professional Services, and Software Development.

Emily joined Akcelerant in 2005 as the Controls Director to help analyze, define and implement new and improved processes and procedures for customer care, implementations and product development. By 2006 she was promoted to SVP of Customer Support Management, where she assumed the responsibility for all customer related activities in the areas of professional and support services. In a very short time, Emily has greatly impacted the growth and success of Akcelerant and has proven herself to be a fundamental part of the Akcelerant management team.

Prior to coming to Akcelerant, Emily spent 8 years at Sanchez Computer Associates (now Fidelity Information Services) managing the Corporate Quality Assurance Department. In this role she developed and maintained processes to improve the quality and efficiency of the Fidelity software products.

Robert E. Keith, Jr.

Robert E. Keith, Jr. is a Managing Director of TL Ventures, a $1.4 billion group of venture capital funds focused on technology services and software communications. In addition to his work with individual companies, Mr. Keith is Chief Executive Officer of the company. He is also a senior advisor to, and co-founder of, EnerTech Capital, a $290 million specialty firm focused on early to expansion-stage venture investments in principally U.S.-based software, technology, and services businesses that serve the energy and communications industries.

Prior to his affiliation with TL Ventures in 1989, Mr. Keith held executive positions with Fidelity Bank in Philadelphia for over 20 years, most recently as Vice Chairman. At Fidelity, he headed the Corporate Banking Department, which included specialized and commercial lending groups and several non-banking subsidiaries.

 Mr. Keith serves on the Boards of Directors of a number of the TL portfolio companies. In addition, he is Chairman of Safeguard Scientifics, Inc., on the board of Internet Capital Group, Chairman and a member of the board and Executive Committee of Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Southeastern Pennsylvania, and Chairman of the Board of The Reinvestment Fund.

Mr. Keith is a graduate of Amherst College and Temple University School of Law.
 
 
     
William H. Shea, Jr.

William H. Shea, Jr. is a private investor who serves on various non profit and corporate Boards. His membership includes the Board of Trustees of The Franklin Institute in Philadelphia, The Free Library of Philadelphia, Penn Virginia Corporation, Kayne Anderson MLP Investment Company and Kayne Anderson Energy Total Return Fund, Inc.

Prior to his current status, Bill was Chairman, CEO and President of Buckeye Partners, L.P., a publicly-traded master limited partnership that provides pipeline transportation and refined petroleum products operated in the United States. Bill also was Chairman, CEO and President of Buckeye GP Holdings LP from the general partner of Buckeye Partners, L.P.

During his tenure at Buckeye Partners L.P., Bill oversaw significant growth in all aspects of Buckeye’s business. He served as Chairman of the Board from May 12, 2004 through June 2007, President, Chief Executive Officer and a director of the General Partner of Buckeye from September 27, 2000, President and Chief Executive Officer and as a director of the general partner of Buckeye GP Holdings, L.P. (and its predecessors) since May 4, 2004, and as President and Chief Operating Officer of the General Partner from July 1998 to September 2000.

Bill and his wife Susan live in Berwyn, PA and have two sons, Andy and Steven. Bill also owns two minor league baseball teams and enjoys traveling and golfing.  
 
     
William Stallkamp

William J. Stallkamp retired in 2000 as Vice Chairman of Mellon Financial Corporation Pittsburgh, PA and Chairman and CEO of Mellon PSFS Philadelphia, PA. He joined Safeguard Scientic Corporation as Fund Advisor and Chairman of the Operating Committee.

Since 2003 he has worked as a financial and private equity advisor and consultant/crisis manager. He serves as Chairman of the Boards of, Matthews International Corporation, Auto-Trol Technology Corporation, and Cowee Forest Products,Inc.

He is a member of the Boards of Highmark, United Concordia Insurance Company, Smithers-Oasis, Philadelphia Stock Exchange, and Akcelerant. He also serves on the community boards of The Franklin Institute and Southeast Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Red Cross.
 
 
     
Brad Young

At SWBC for 15 years, Brad Young currently serves as Senior Vice President, Business Strategy and brings more than 25 years of related insurance underwriting, operations, and marketing expertise to the firm. He began his career with Balboa Life and Casualty serving as an Underwriting and Actuarial Services Manager. Prior to joining the SWBC team, he was President of Cotrak Insurance Services, a leading provider of insurance and risk management services in the Western United States. Brad was CEO of SWBC’s Risk Management Division from 2002 to 2007, during which time he was instrumental in guiding the operation to becoming one of the largest, premier providers of outsourced insurance and risk management services in the industry. Currently, he collaborates closely with Sales, Finance, Information Technology, and Product Operations, enhancing SWBC’s line of business to meet new customer objectives, address new competitive challenges, find new sources of revenue, and improve work processes.

Brad graduated from Illinois College in Jacksonville, Ill., with bachelor of arts degrees in mathematics and business administration. He volunteers in many civic, athletic, and charitable organizations in San Antonio. Brad has served on the Board of Directors for the San Antonio Sports Foundation for 10 years and represents the local Organizing Committee for Amateur Sports as well as the Dreams for Youth Program.
